Signature of a sponsorship convention between the Crédit Agricole Ile-de-France and the INRA

A convention was signed on September 26, 2018 between the Credit Agricole Ile-de-France and INRA between François Imbault, President of the board of directors of Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France and Thierry Pineau, President of the INRA Ile-de-France Jouy-en-Josas research center.

Marion Borey's post-doctoral research project will be financed by this  convention for a two-year period. Her study will be focused on the relations between the composition of the intestinal microbiota and the individual variability of vaccine response in pigs and chickens. This study will be done within the Genetics Immunity Health Team (GIS: Génétique Immunité Santé) of GABI.

The Crédit Agricole Ile-de-France sponsorship program  (https://ca-paris.com/mecenat/) is aimed at preserving the Ile-de-France heritage and supporting young talents, notably scientists, for projects that are anchored in the region. It is within such a context that the project coordinated by GIS of GABI was retained.

The signature of the convention was preceded by a scientific presentation of GABI and the research project by Claire Rogel-Gaillard, Bertrand Bed-Hom and Marion Borey. A visit of the experimental facilities of the @BRIDGe core facilities was organized by Déborah Jardet and Marie-Noëlle Rossignol, illustrating the path an intestinal microbiota sample follows from when it is sampled on a farm up through its sequencing. The visit allowed underlining the importance of resource centers for securely storing biological samples, and genomic core facilities for their analysis.
